The Carson Street Deli was created in 1992 and has been a landmark in the community ever since. Located in the historic South Side of Pittsburgh, the Carson Street Deli specializes in New York and kosher style menu items. The deli has won many awards throughout its 16 year history including “Best Hangout in Pittsburgh” by City Search, “Best Deli” by In Pittsburgh Magazine (1995-2000) and “Best Deli” by the readers of the Pittsburgh City Paper each year for the past fourteen consecutive years (1994-2007). In 2008, Carson Street Deli won Pittsburgh Magazine’s “Best in City” Award. CNN Travel has also placed the deli on a short list of places to visit in Pittsburgh. Carson Street Deli was recently featured in US Airways Magazine.
